Sulekh Ruparell is a full-time professional musician specialising in the art of Indian classical music. He was born in the UK, lives in London and completed his academic studies at University College, London from where he gained a Law Degree. His music training was undertaken at the well-known MS University, Varodara, India where he studied both classical vocal and tabla.

As a vocalist, Sulekh sings Bhajans, Ghazals, film songs and folk music in 5 different dialects of the Indian sub-continent. He has done live solo and accompaniment concerts in several cities around the world including Toronto, Paris, Munich and Madrid. His live debut solo vocal concert in July 2002 was at the prestigious Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, London which is a renown venue for staging the concerts given by the classical artists of India.
Outside of the Indian music sphere, Sulekh has composed tabla rhythms for a classical 9 piece Flamenco band (www.elaire.net), a well-known Klezmer band (www.nomadica.org) and an all-acoustic jazz-fusion band (www.nirakar.com).

Sulekh has enabled beginners to take their first steps in Indian music whilst also helping to nurture the talent of more senior musicians by giving them the confidence to play and perform in their own right. He has taken several students to perform with him in live concerts giving them valuable stage experience and encouraging them to learn further. A platform is also provided for other enthusiasts in an annual student concert function at a prestigious venue in London together with other guest artists. He has also guided many students to gain exceptionally high grades in their examinations and helped primary school leavers to attain the necessary qualifications to be considered for eligibility to secondary schools on the grounds of musical talent.
